The Professional Panthers Series is designed to prepare you to transition from college to career. Have you ever thought about how you will sell your collegiate experience to a future employer? Are you ready to take on a professional role? Throughout the series, you will reflect on your collegiate leadership experience and consider how it has prepared you for a professional role. In addition, you will learn valuable tips to help you step confidently towards your future career.
The Art of Networking
February 11, 5-7 p.m., Dahlberg Hall, Veterans Memorial
It is common knowledge that “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” In this session, you will learn the basics of networking and have the opportunity to network with local professionals and Georgia State University alumni.
April 8, 5-7 p.m., University Center Room 460/465
Are you nervous about interviewing? Are you confident in telling your story in an interview? In this session, you will learn the basics of interviewing and have the opportunity to receive feedback from professional recruiters and career counselors. Dinner will be served.
From College to Career: Making the Transition
April 22, 5-7 p.m., Student Center, Speakers Auditorium
Are you prepared to make the leap from student to professional? Are you ready to face the financial realities of work, bills, and paying back those student loans? This session is a must for every soon to be graduate. You will learn financial tips for success as well as have the opportunity to meet with bankers, real estate agents, and other vendors.
